A HOLY PURSUIT

Painting Pottery.

Yesterday we spent our evening at a local pottery place. This was the second part of Ethan's Father's Day gift which seems a bit ironic because it's not the most "manly" thing to do but there was a bigger picture in mind. Ethan loves to eat cereal and since our cereal bowls are tiny, I thought what better gift to give than a cereal bowl that we hand-painted as a family. I wasn't sure how Kaiden would do (if he would get bored easily or not) but he ended up loving it! He participated the entire time and gave the bowl it's own personal touch. Ethan and I painted pottery back when we were engaged so it was pretty cool to be doing it again but with Kaiden this time around. If you are looking for a unique date night idea or want an activity to involved the kids, I highly recommend finding a pottery painting place!  (I'm not sure why I didn't take a picture of the end result but maybe I will have to when I go to pick it up next week.)
