A HOLY PURSUIT

3 Reasons I'm Celebrating Mother's Day

Momhood, PersonaladminComment

There are three reasons why I am celebrating Mother's Day today:1. My Mom. She is a beautiful, living display of compassion, generosity, self-sacrifice and love. I am beyond blessed to have a mother that has given so much to her kids over these years and my life is a testimony to the amount of time and energy she has poured into me. She has always been there for me...through tears of being picked on by other classmates to broken hearts from former boyfriends. She has always had open ears to listen and despite many moments of attitude, rebellion and disrespect on my part, she has always loved me just the same. Her patience with me is something I will always remember and I'm grateful to have the wonderful relationship that I have with her today. Mommy, (haha, I haven't said that in years!) I love you SOOOOOO much and thank God for blessing me with you. You are a wonderful mother and you deserve to be honored today and everyday. I admire your love for the Lord and for all that you've done in my life.2. The Gift of Motherhood. I didn't plan to be a mother until maybe 3 or 4 years after marriage, but God blessed us with Kaiden and I wouldn't change that gift for the world. Being a mom has deepened my walk with God tremendously by humbling me and giving me a better understanding of the unconditional love God has for us. It has also helped me grow in gratitude towards my own mother by giving me a realization of all that she went through with me (at least in my early years so far.) I never could have predicted that I would be a full time stay at home mom but I love my job and I'm excited for our second blessing due here in a few weeks. :)3. My Mother in Law. I married an incredible man and his great qualities can be attributed to his own mother. He always tells me about how much time she invested in him through little things like having milk and cookies ready after school to spending time teaching him all about God and the Bible. I'm also grateful for the relationship that I have with her. They say that when you marry your husband, you marry into the family and this is so true. My mother in law treats me like she does her own daughters and I truly feel like I am apart of their family. She calls me up regularly to see how I am doing and I'm always getting little gifts from her in the mail. She has such a big heart for the Lord and I'm blessed to have her in my life.Be sure to honor a mom that has made an impact in your life! Mothers play an integral role in life and they deserve to be showered with extra amounts of love today. :)
