The Handmade Flag
Soooo....I started this flag project a few summers ago. I have this problem where I get an idea and work on it non-stop but then something distracts me and it sits around the house. I literally have a bunch of bags with unfinished projects. It's bad. Anyways, it's been start and stop with this flag over the past few years. Figure out the dimensions...cut the fabric...dye it...sew it...sew on the stars...sew on more stars...A few weeks ago I finally stopped being lazy and finished the last of the stars that needed to be sewed on. Now it proudly hangs it in our home, just in time for the fourth of July! I am proud to be an American and am so incredibly grateful to be living in this beautiful country. We are blessed with freedom that so many people don't have and I hope I never take that for granted...this flag reminds me of that.Hope you are having a happy fourth of July! It's 104 degrees here so we've just been trying to stay cool ;)
