Noonday Collection: Ancient Ways Necklace Giveaway [CLOSED]

All

Almost a year ago, my friend Stephanie and her husband announced their plans for adoption. $25,000 was the amount it would cost to adopt a little boy in Ethiopia. They were $25,000 short. It's been so neat to watch Justin and Stephanie raise the money for their adoption over the course of this year. In fact, they are almost there because God has provided through so many different avenues. This includes everything from a little girl donating her piggy bank to them winning a large adoption grant. Another helping hand has been Stephanie's experience working with Noonday Collection. Today I'm here to tell you about Noonday Collection. Here's a bit of their story:

After visiting Uganda in February of 2010 and holding hundreds of children without moms and dads, Joe and Jessica Honegger (the founder) decided to adopt internationally (from Rwanda). Also on that visit, they met up with long time friends who had lived in Uganda for many years trying to create sustainable income opportunities for the Ugandan people. They asked Jessica if she would like to sell the fair-trade locally made goods in Austin, in order to raise money for the costly adoption process. Jessica agreed and the first Noonday Collection trunk show was born! You can read more about her story here.Word spread quickly about Noonday's envied products and the lives they impact. Other women wanted to style their friends while advocating for women and kids. Soon, the opportunity for women to start their own social selling business with a social impact launched and the Ambassador opportunity was born. Noonday Collection will soon be found in a home near you!

It excites me that there are so many neat businesses out there that not only sell awesome products but provide a stable income to women in need of opportunities. But Noonday goes above and beyond that -- they also donate a percentage towards orphan care and prevention as well as give women here in the states (like my friend Stephanie) the chance to raise money for their own adoption! It's a win, win, win. Thanks to the awesome ladies at Noonday and Stephanie (our Northern California ambassador), we are giving away a necklace from their latest line, valued at $62! It is called the Ancient Ways necklace. This piece was handmade in Ethiopia using melted down metals from old war weapons. How awesome is that? The tribal, macrame beading is stunning and I believe it makes for a great staple piece! Pair it with skinny jeans and a basic tee or turn it up a notch with a maxi dress.
