Our Trip to Maine

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Kennebunk, Maine for our cousin's wedding. I fell in love with the town and even more so with my husband's family that we spent the weekend with. For years, he has been telling me about the Jago-side cousins that he grew up with and I finally got to meet them! Words cannot explain how wonderful this weekend was, especially after losing our dog the night before our trip. We came back home refreshed and excited to know that more family is just a drive away. These are some pictures from the weekend. This was our cute, little cottage.Getting settled in.Breakfast at a local eaterie w/ family. I had lobster with scrambled eggs. Maine is pretty much seafood heaven.We love the beach and it was neat seeing a different type of terrain than what we've seen in both East and West Coast beaches.The water was cold but that didn't stop Kaiden and his cousin from bulding sand castles.I love that they are best buds."Skye, let me take a picture of you!" The houses were goregeous.We got ripped off on this lobster roll and chowder but it was good!They are all ready for the wedding! They are all so beautiful!More Jago-side family.Me and Cora Bora.The day after the wedding we had a BBQ with the family. It was nice to just relax and hang with everyone.The guys played some ball. They called me out so I could take a pic of Ethan in his short shorts, lol. These are common in his career field and other special ops career fields. What Skye Wore & Our Trip Uptown

From the moment I knew we were having a girl, I was very adamant about finding non-traditional girl clothes. I'm not a huge fan of pink and ruffles (though I have eased up a bit and have dressed her in both on the occasion.) Skye is always sporting cute outfits and I believe they are blog-worthy, so I'm hoping to start posting more of "What Skye Wore." :)Today Skye wore:

Ethan had the day off today because of the holiday so we spent the afternoon walking around the riverfront. It was a real sweet occasion because it's usually so hot around these parts that we never do much of anything outside. The kids had a blast exploring and running around. I haven't carried my camera around "just because" in a while so it was fun to dust it off and take some snapshots of our day. 

Bathtime Moments

It's been a little over a month and a half since I last posted. I've been busy focusing on my latest endeavor, Deeply Rooted and haven't had much time for personal blogging. There is so much to share about how God has been working in our lives lately and there is much to update on our family but I will have to save that for another post. It's late here and I've spent a good majority of my free time updating this blog and ironing out the kinks. Pardon the dust, it's still under construction.I just wanted to quickly share some photographs from Skye and Kaiden's bath time the other morning. I'm trying to photograph more of our everyday life. These are moments I never want to forget. Hopefully, I will soon get a chance to update all of you on life here in the South. Until then... :)
